What is Trovfolio?

Trovfolio helps you get estate clarity: if something happened to you, what are your things worth, and who do they go to — including equal vs unequal splits. Snap a photo; Trovfolio identifies the item and estimates value. Vehicles and other high-dollar physical assets are in scope. Values are estimates, not appraisals.

Where did the idea come from?

After a kitchen flood, an insurer asked for every damaged thing listed with a value. Later, an estate attorney building a trust asked for another inventory: everything owned, what it was worth, and who it went to. Trovfolio is built so you can walk the house, photograph what you own, and see what it is, what it might sell for, and who it’s meant for. The story.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. Try a scan without an account. Saving to a vault requires sign-in. Guest identifies are limited per day before you need to sign in.

How do I start?

Open Trovfolio → Try a scan / Add → take or pick a photo → Identify with AI (or Skip AI / Keepsake) → review → That’s it when you’re ready → Sign in to save if you’re a guest. The pending scan is kept on-device and saved into the account you sign in with.

How does adding an item work?

Add photos (and optional documents like a receipt). Identify with AI proposes what it is and estimates from sold comps. Or Skip AI and enter details yourself. First valuation on add does not use a credit.

What are Identify with AI, Keepsake, and Skip AI?

Three ways to add something:

• Identify with AI — Snap or pick a photo. We identify it and estimate from sold comps. Estimates, not appraisals.
• Keepsake — Save the photo and story with no dollar value and no auto-updates. For things you want to remember, not track as an asset.
• Skip AI — enter manually — You name it and enter your own value (and comps if you have them). No identify run.

Can I add vehicles?

Yes. Cars, boats, UTVs, and similar are ordinary items. VIN/HIN and miles/hours help identity and estimates.

Are these appraisals?

No. Numbers are automated estimates from AI and market data. See the valuation disclaimer.

What are the Four Lenses?

Same inventory, four reads — never blended:

• Replacement — What it would cost to replace today (asking prices). For insurance & records.
• Estate — Fair-market value by who you want it to go to. Helps you plan equal vs unequal splits.
• Net worth — What your things add up to today (pool value). One number for the vault.
• Investment — What it would sell for over time, charted from resale estimates.

Does Trovfolio sell insurance?

How are estimates made?

Photos and details identify the piece; research pulls market evidence (sold comps preferred). You can attach receipts, appraisals, or listings. How we value your things.

Do values update automatically?

Yes, on a schedule by plan. On-demand priority revaluations use credits. Check the date on each value.

Why do I have to sign in to save?

Identify can run as a guest. A vault needs an account so items stay private to you. After Sign in to save, the pending scan is written into the account you just used.

I used Apple Hide My Email and my vault looks empty.

Hide My Email is its own address, so the first sign-in opens a new empty vault. Items saved under Google stay on Google. Sign out and use the same method and email as before.

What sign-in options exist?

On iPhone, Continue with Apple is offered first, plus Google. On the web: Google and email/password.

What’s free vs paid?

Free holds up to 10 items. Pro is $9.99/month or $99.99/year, up to 100 items. Collector / Estate is $49.99/month or $449.99/year, up to 500 items. Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance. Compare the current plans on Plan.

What are credits?

1 credit = 1 on-demand revaluation of 1 item. Monthly credits don’t roll over; purchased credits don’t expire. First valuation on add doesn’t use a credit. Extra credits: 10 for $2.99.

Invite codes / TROV-BETA?

Redeem on Plan (codes like TROV-…). Some codes grant 90 days of Pro. Request a seat at beta if you need one.

Is my trove private?

Inventory, photos, and values are visible only to your account unless you export or share. See the privacy policy.

Can I export or delete my account?

Export from Profile. Delete account is in Profile → Account. Cancel an App Store subscription separately in iPhone Settings. See the privacy policy.

How does estate clarity work?

Assign items to people. Estate lens rolls up fair-market value by person and can surface equal vs unequal splits. You can lock a valuation date. For you and your advisors — see the valuation disclaimer.

What reports can I get?

Replacement inventory and Estate inventory — estimates as a starting worksheet. Open them signed-in: Replacement inventory and Estate inventory.

What about sentimental items with no price?

Use Keepsake (photo + story, no dollar value) and assign a person. Valued items can also carry a story.
